Members showcase?? UPDATED

This is brought on as another forum i go on, a member there has done a brilliant cartoon sketch. And i have asked her OH who is a member here if she would mind posting her stuff on here in threads fo their own.
But i wondered if anyone thinks it would be a good idea to have a section for members showcases, that way they can have their own, locked thread which will be lock and unlocked so they can post their new stuff and new topics will be opened to talk about the persons characters, sketches etc??
vote in the poll and say why you think it is/isnt a good idea here.
UPDATE
I have added this already so this poll is for wether ot not the members showcases(written and arty) should be kept or not.
