I've read every single Disc World novel, and have found that his kids ones(The Nac Mac Feagle books and Amazing Maurice) are by far his best work.
The stories are so much pacier, and more focused. they allow you to really get to know the main characters so much better.
What does everyone else think?

i love the humor in pratchetts books. some of his joke really appeal to kids but adults sit and think: did he say what i think he said? they seem to have a duality which caters for both mature readers and childrens humor. i also like the grittiness of his books.
and i'm also a fan of the camel's names: You Bastard for example. lol he cracks me up. _________________

Or Granny Weatherwax's kitten in The Wintersmith, which is just You. As in "You, get off that chair" or "you, stop scrating that" lol _________________

Read some of his none disc world books (Johnny and the dead) but wasn't that keen on them.
Also have all his discworld books, but saying that he's probably published at least another two while I've written this.
Anyone else think that he seemed to get a bit bored with the series a while ago? Didn't think that much of Maskerade or Feet of Clay. |
