There are indicators that demonstrate international construction group’s ambition to expand their activities beyond their country to India. Coupled with the acquisition of strategic development projects in India, their interest in the residential sector marks a significant step in advancing their presence in India. Many companies are keen to acquire land for real estate development and for the commencement of residential projects.
In the current scenario where the land prices are on an all time high, the interest shown by companies with varied portfolio is advantageous for the economy of the country. This is true irrespective where in India their development schemes are concentrated.
Introducing world-class infrastructure and amenities are often not a priority to local developers. However, the competition in the industry has prompted all to seek international standards in construction and related matters.
The Cochin apartment and flat projects have shown a marked improvement in quality and standards in the past year or so. This is an admirable situation and the buying public has not been slow in their approbation either.
The numbers of NRIs purchasing residential properties are on a rapid ascend. This is primarily due to the increased availability of modern and up-to-date international amenities. The chance to make a good investment which offers a very good return is also a major factor influencing the decision.
