Summer holidays. So Bookwormers, what do you all have planned for your summer hols?
I'm having a few days in the glorious Scottish Highlands staying with my friend. We will be doing a lot of dog walking, a bit of sight seeing and allowing all the lovely mozzies to eat me alive!! I haven't been up North of the Border since Easter of last year and my friend has moved house since then, only to the next village - actually you can't really call it a village, if you sneeze as you go through, you have missed it!! The scenery is stunning, the forestry is right on her doorstep, the people are lovely, everything is clean and you can understand the language! It takes me roughly 10 hours to drive up there but believe it or not I actually enjoy the drive. Sometimes I do a night drive, setting off about 10 or 11 at night and getting there in time for breakfast. That's ok but you don't get to see the fantastic scenery on route. Although the number of deer, foxes, owls and badgers is unbelievable.
Ok then, lets hear all of your plans for holidays this year. And if you haven't any plans lets hear what you would like to be doing.

Well, the summer will be working to get some money together, but in 3 weeks I go to Egypt for a week all inclusive in a 4 star hotel!!! I can't wait! I finish my degree on the Friday and fly to Egypt on the Saturday!!!
We plan to dive, visit the pyramids, and generally just chill!

Congratualtions on finishing your degree course - what were you studying?
I am sure you will like Sharm el Sheikh, my friend went there in 2005 and loved it. Your hotel looks fantastic. Is it a holiday to celebrate leaving uni? Another friend did Egypt and visited the tombs at Luxor, she said they were fabulous although I have to say you wouldn't get me in there for a gold brick, the whole idea of going into those tombs gives me the creeps. I think it is all these years of reading Horror books! My imagination runs away with me.
I hope you enjoy your trip and look forward to seeing some of your holiday photo's.
