Tia is an older Staffie bitch in Newcastle who I saved from PTS in November 2006. Well she has been in a foster home for 4 months without interest and the foster home is now unavailable so she is back with us and not doing very well in kennels so needs out asap due to increasing pressure from my employers. I am wondering if you could post her details on your websites (photos are available) or if you know anyone waiting for an older dog like her. Her case is now urgent. She is being cross posted all over the internet to try and get her safe. Here is her details.

Tia is an 11 year old speyed Staffie bitch. She is white with brindle, and very active for her age. She was seriously overweight but is now in shape and this needs to be maintained. She is very friendly, affectionate and full of personality. She loves home comforts but also loves her walks and likes to carry her lead around. She is very gentle and sweet and knows basic commands. She loves all people, including children. She gets on with some other dogs outside but needs to be the only dog in the household. She has good recall once she knows you. She is NOT cat friendly.

The big downside is that she has a skin condition requiring ongoing treatment, and I think this is putting people off. At the moment she is on antibiotics as her skin is infected. Once under control she will need regular medicated baths for life as well as antibiotics when necessary. She would also benefit from a prescription or hypoallergenic diet. Her skin condition makes her quite smelly, unfortunately, but once under control she should return to smelling like a normal dog. I cannot allow this gorgeous girl to be at risk because of her skin - she is so beautiful on the inside!

Tia is speyed, microchipped & vaccinated.

She would really suit quite an active home with someone around a lot of the time, with someone who can commit to her baths. If she stays in the area I can help out with the prescription shampoo and drugs as necessary.
